Before reserving or booking our tours and tour-related products, please take the time to read and understand our Terms & Conditions and any other applicable information. You will be asked to sign off on a tour contract/agreement that includes these terms, so it is essential that you are aware of your rights, duties, and obligations as well as ours. By becoming a customer of Yulkor, you declare that you have understood and accepted all terms in this document and agree to the content presented here.
To start your Tibet tour reservation, it is strongly recommended to contact our trip advisor and request up-to-date information. This will allow you to know the seasons and areas that would require additional permits for travelling in Tibet. Provide as much detail as possible for your desired locations, and confirm tour arrangements at least two weeks in advance. Please note that Indian and Bhutanese passport holders would require extra permits if planning a pilgrimage or Kailash Yatra tour.
Booking Tibet Tour Procedure: How to book?
Once you have finalised your itinerary with us, we will ask for the necessary paperwork:
To finalise your booking and confirm the trip, you are required to pay 30% of the total cost upfront. This includes all air and train tickets. The remaining 70% can be paid on the first day of the tour or you can one-off payment prior to arrival.
Your cancellation request must be in writing and you will be liable to pay cancellation charges that are bound by Explore Tibet’s cancellation policy as follows:
In the event that the tour has to be canceled due to closure of the permit or government restrictions that are beyond either party’s control, we will charge USD50 per person or equivalent in CNY, which is just the service fee and larbor fee.
As a result of the uncertain political, climatic, and geographical situation of Tibet, tour cancellations might occur that are beyond our control. Our valued customers have the following options:
If you choose to cancel the tour, we will charge a labor fee of USD50 per person for the planning session. Meanwhile, the cancellation fee and refund service fee incurred by booking through us would still be subjected to the policy of Airline/Railway administration and bank. If you’d like to opt for another similar tour, areas such as Qinghai and Sichuan province in mainland China have a great Tibetan culture and stunning scenery. However, please note that Yulkor is not responsible for any extra costs due to changes.
Should you experience altitude sickness or any other health issues before, during, or after being awarded your Tibet Travel Permit, Yulkor will strive to be as accommodating as possible and make adjustments to the destinations listed in your TTP. However, it may not be feasible for us to make drastic changes to the previously accepted itinerary due to restrictions imposed by the Tibet Tourism Bureau.
Yulkor never gets involved in any political issues, and we caution our customers to do the same. Unforeseen events such as unfavorable weather and sudden political upheaval can also lead to changes in your travel itinerary or service standard. In any case, much of the financial burden for additional costs fall on you. We advise you to be cover both physically and mentally before heading out on your journey, as many parts of Tibet are still undeveloped with limited medical facilities. Furthermore, theft is becoming a bigger problem in cities so make sure to take care of your valuables. Unfortunately, Yulkor cannot compensate financially if personal items are stolen due to negligence on your part.
If you face any issues during your tour, you must let the tour consultant know right away. We’ll then try to fix it with our adjustments. If there are still complaints at the end of the trip, please make sure that you submit them within 15 days of the service finishing by writing to [email protected] / or call at +86 139 8999 0880. Include your original booking reference number and all other necessary information too. It can be hard to investigate a complaint if it’s given after a long period of time has passed, so any remuneration that may have been available could potentially decrease or even be denied if you don’t stick to this complaints procedure.
A travellers’ insurance policy that protects you against cancelled/delayed flights as well as any unplanned medical emergency is highly recommended.
